I understand how that feels. But I just let them take me to dinner anyway, because I know my dad and sisters love to go out and they need an excuse to do so most of the time. Heh.
Sometimes there are years where my parents are too busy to celebrate or they forget, so I just have some time for myself. I enjoy it from time to time, but sometimes it gets a little lonely.
You probably should just let them take you to dinner or whatever. At least they're giving you presents, I didn't get anything this year :\ After all, you should spend as much time as you can with your family. You won't regret it in the future. Just try to move past that desire and have some quality family time.
Is it normal to disappear/hate (maybe) on my birthday?
