It has not happened to me before. Personally, I think deleting comments because you do not agree with them or because they offend you (as oppossed to being rude and off-topic) is just another form of censorship and I don't quite believe in censorship amongst adults. If you want decency, keep company with decent people. Don't come on the internet thinking that you're never going to get offended. Hell, don't walk outside thinking that you're never going to get offended.
If you want everyone to agree with you and tell you what you want to hear, you're better off just talking to your friends about your problems rather than posting them on the interweb. I didn't make the rules.

I've never considered deleting anyone's posts to my questions. Maybe I'm just daft!
