Is it normal to decide existentialistic choices objectively?

For a long time i've put my emotions aside for existentialistic choices and my choices are based on systematic calculations - basically a categorized pros/cons system.
By existentialistic I mean, important choices in life, as in whether to drinking alcohol, believing in a religion, spending big money on something specific, education etc.

This method of thinking and living out life IS probably your emotions at work even if you don't realize it.
Don't worry about the hateful comments though. Everyone has at least one thing they think could be outside the range of humanity. Many of us probably even HOPE we have a characteristic or way of thinking that is unique to our species.
I guess, in a polite way, I'm trying to say you likely do not. You're cut from the same rope as the rest of us.
It is one pretty fricken amazing rope though...so don't worry.

You Sir, are an idiot. Don't get me wrong...I understand all your "big" words, but really? You sound like a jackass who's trying to prove they're intelligent. No one cares. If you talk like that all the time, you need to chill so people will relate to you & not think you're trying to prove something.

Not always bad, but emotions can sometimes give you clues as to where you would also be happiest.

Janith - when a teenager starts smoking, that decision was not based on logic, it was based on an emotion caused by his/her surroundings, thus it's subjective.
About animals - they are driven by instincts, not logic. It is true that many instinct actions are logic (to us), but it's not logic that is the ground for instinct. That is what separates us from animals.

  • I love when people try to sound smart and make complete fools of themselves. Do you realize that nearly every human and other animal on the face of this earth thinks like that? Shoot, even my dog does it.

  • But making choices like that is stupid, emotions make us who we are and help us decide our choices and values in life.

Try making a decision using your heart and emotions and see where it takes you.

Don't use your emotions. Doing that lead to me getiing addicted to drugs, smoking and binge drinking.

    Such negativity.
@ Gowilla - I do not see myself as being any smarter than anybody else. About the post being crap - it is just a question and i am hoping for an answer, just like the majority of the site's questions.
@ randomjelly - Sorry for the bad grammar there. English is not my main language.
@ penpal21 - Sorry for the miss-spell, and yes, it is an existential question whether you drink alcohol during your life span or not.

    Anyways thanks for the replies.

The correct word is "existential"...and it has nothing to do with whether or not to drink beer.

Whether to drinking alcohol? Quit trying to spit out big words and work on your basic grammar.
