Is it normal to daydream throughout the whole day?

i feel like i'm always daydreaming, but i'm not disconnected from reality. sometimes i just like to write stories in my head and imagine scenarios that would make me really happy. i know daydreaming is normal, but i feel as though i do it almost always besides when i'm writing, working, or studying.

i haven't heard of it, but i do have depersonalization/derealization disorder, but it doesn't really feel connected to that. i'll look into that, thank you!

I'd say it may mean you need a creative vent, or at least some fun hobbies

but i have those things! i'm a dancer and a singer, i rehearse like 3-4 hours a day, i write, i exercise and go on walks and hikes, all of that stuff. but somehow it seems like that's when i daydream the most.

i guess a few types of things, but mostly just imaging the future, imagining traveling places or doing exciting things i've never done before. sometimes it can be conversations, performances, meeting new people, anything really. it just feels like i'm writing stories sometimes. i just wonder if other people experience that? i've never really asked anyone i know.
