G, I agree with you generally that what matters is if people enjoy each other's company. My mom's 15 years younger than my dad, but my dad acts like a teenager most of the time. I think maturity can be largely personal. I know lots of older people here at school who are even more carefree and spontaneous than many of my friends who're teens or just in their 20s. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I hope someone thinking about dating someone else older isn't going to think the age difference is likely to mean the older person will treat the younger person like a child. I would give anyone a chance, so long as I got along with him (and vice versa).
