Is it normal to cut myself while sleeping

So i get this thing where i sleep at night,and its hard for me to explain so bare with me
i do not have any mental illnesses ,or anything of the sort but when i sleep i get there huge slashes all down my back and legs and places i cant even reach ,now the first time it happened to me was all down my leg and i couldn't walk the next morning and brought it to my mothers attention so we both assumed it was me while i was asleep the second time it happened i talked to my doctor and said something is really not right ,thats when my doctor admitted me to a hospital to be monitored as i slept and to watch my sleeping patters they noticed everything was fine with the patterns of my sleep ,but also noticed i had a cut on my chest , therefor my admission for the hospital was longer and that night thought it would be best to sleep in restraints the next morning a they were undoing my restraints they seen the bed was full of blood and my back had been cut open and needed stitches ,as the doctor was giving me stitches i went into what they call an "episode" and started speaking a different language i do Not remember any of this
please don't judge i just want thoughts as to what it is thats happening
