    I heard them interviewed on the Howard Stern show and it turns out he wrote it about his mother who had died. It is much sadder to hear now. I assumed it was about some girl who left him.

      Awww that's sad. Weird that I had a big fight with my mom yesterday but I had always assumed it was about a girl too.
