Is it normal to cry in a dream and wake up crying real tears?

I went to sleep one night last week and I had multiple dreams in one night. All of them I remember vividly and I'd be willing to recall them if one asks. The dreams started off innocent and then ended the opposite of innocent. The last dream involved me killing in self defense and crying while watching the face of the dead person decomposing. This dream woke me up in the middle of the night and I was actually crying real tears... has anyone had a similar experience? Is this normal?

    I've had it happen once or twice. Here's probably something weirder I once stepped on glass in my dream and woke up with foot pain!

    I'd say it's normal if you're having a particularly sad dream. If it was bad enough to make you cry there, why wouldn't you be crying when you woke up?
