Nothing in this posts indicates alcoholic behavior, they didn't even say how often they do this.
I don't drink alone because of this happening a few times. Alcohol is a depressant after all, and drinking alone would tend to make one introsepctive, sometimes certain kinds of alcohol or just drinking in general make people sad. It comes down to how the individual reacts to the chemical.
Not trying to diss your experiences or anything, just saying that there's a difference between being a sad drunk and an alcoholic, and drinking alone is a really good way to bring out the sad drunk.
