If your balls have descended than it’s normal to crush on older women. But it’s acting on those impulses that are taboo.
Relationships with significant age gaps tend to be fairly problematic, and you are probably going to be widowed very early, but if you are aware of this and still feels the same way, then you are free to try them in any case. That is, if you are already an adult.
If it was an 18 year old girl into 40 year old men all hell would break loose, with older women counselling the young girl on how the men are predators so I don't understand why this post gets such a high approval rate.
If it's the woman who is 40, then she just needs to make sure the guy is at least 18 and then it's all good, as long as both of them are happy and comfortable about being together. However, I do agree if it's the man that's older, then a 40 year old with an 18 year old girl is too much age difference, he needs to be with a woman older. I'm 42 and I have absolutely no interest in any women under about 30 because many of them are still into more college age like activities wanting to go party, get drunk, stay out all night, etc., and I'm past all that. But that's me, some guys in their 40s still like to get drunk, stay out til 3am, etc.
What is different when the woman is older, though? The interests are probably going to be fairly different as well. The only aggravants I can think of regarding older men are the risk of pregnancy and the fact that, in the world we live in, men are usually more prone to be dominant and patronizing in romantic relationships. Other than that, a significant age gap with an older woman seems for me to be prone to most of the same problems.
It's cool as long as you're at least 18, otherwise the 40 year old woman is breaking the law, but you said that you're 18 so it's cool. Go on and have fun with her.
