I don't dislike it but some of the northern east coast accents sound really angry to me. When I talk to them I have to remind myself to pay attention to words, not the tone.
But the upper midwest accent is a bit quirky and they sound like they enjoy things more. Doesn't make it true, but it will color my first impression of a person.
