I don't know if it's normal but I always do this. I'm a daydreamer. I like coming up with situations in my head where I'm just really awesome and get the girl.
My most recent daydream involves me meeting this really cool goth girl that totally gets me, but it turns out that she's an alien. So now I have to save the world from her father who's planning to destroy earth. I'm a weird guy. but it's fun to play the hero and get the girl.
