Is it normal to cope with depression by ignoring it?

  • Just like the other posts recommended don't ignore your depression. Depression only gets worst including suicidal thoughts, negative thoughts, low self esteem, lost in activities once enjoyed and it could make you want to stay indoors all time not allowing you to work.

    I ignored depression for a long time and one day I woke up and didn't leave my house. I end losing my job because I didn't show up for months. I had suicidal thoughts send ended up away from home hospitalized in mental institution.

    Look on the bright side, antidepressant will make you feel 100% happy. So don't wait no more and go see your doctor.
