Keeping busy is the key, so it's good that you have a lot of work. In truth you may break either choosing to think about it or not. You're missing out in the full extent of life. Remember that every single one of our stories end the same in terms of dying. So it's the journey and what we do not how it literally ends. Taking control of it while you still can snap out of it is key. Don't ever try to cut off from people because you don't want to burden them or it's hard to talk about.
