Is it normal to contradict everything about yourself?

Honestly, I think I've had this problem for a year or so, but it's starting to become rather noticeable. Even my teacher pointed it out, seeing the essays I wrote for a test. One would be opposing, the other was supporting.
I'm a bit of a romantic, but I have no desire to partake in any romantic endevors.
I'm a fairly loving person, but I dislike everyone I don't like.
I hated somebody I thought I was in love with.
I like clouds, but I hate cloudy days.
I irritate myself quite a lot, and I hate it, and I want to know if anyone else is like this. My friends say I'm weird.

Is It Normal?
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • Probably normal, but not healthy. It probably just comes with growing up and learning more about yourself. We all like to think we are a certain way, but our actions are what really define us. Basically, if you like the way you are acting/feeling but it is outside your perception of yourself, change your perception! :) And if you don't really like your actions/feelings, you need to take steps to change these things about yourself. Oversimplified, but that's my take. Are you introspective? B/c I am, and I do this to myself, maybe it comes with thinking too much

  • totally normal. you`re just a realist and consider both sides of a situation. that`s about the essay. and people are like that all the time. you`re not contradicting yourself, you just choose the best options and sometimes it is different from what you actually feel about the matter. but then again, i`m not the kind of person you want to listen to, being a freak and all.
