Very normal, just make sure you don't "swamp" her...take breaks in texting her and stuff like that. If you alienate her by pursuing her too much, too early, you'll ruin all your chances. Wait until your hormones calmed down a bit before making any move on her- unless she felt the same from the start she will feel creeped out otherwise...
