Is it normal to consider yourself “too busy” for phone calls and texts?

Just wondering, I have some friends who act very like this. They always try and put on some act like “Oh I am really really busy right now, I cannot talk, I will call you back in an hour”? Is that normal? I mean, yeah, I understand life Happens everyday. There’s 24 hours in one day, we all can get very busy? But to just say that as your “Only excuse” when someone tries to call or text you? I think some people should reevaluate their priorities?

    Yes, its totally normal.

People have jobs and they have lives. They cannot always just drop what they are doing and respond to you, or anyone else baring a major emergency.

I routinely respond to people that it will be some time before I can get back to them... if I reply at all at the time (many times I reply to texts and phone calls hours later).

They're not into you, they have depression (when I go through it I don't want to text anyone) or they just are the rare type who don't like to text but are better in person
