500 thousand bca saw the Divergence of Neanderthal and Denisovan lineages from a common ancestor. Neanderthal and humans share 99.7% of their DNA. Neandertals (yes that's the proper name) are a sub species of homo heidelbergensis making them a progenitor to Homo sapiens.
Or more simply, we come from the same genus making us related.
Does it even really matter anymore? The whole caveman thing is getting kinda boring. I was just talking about modern sex and how it needs to stop. I'm not good at history.
