      *-* That's not faith. Science requires evidence.

      Faith deals with questions that cannot be settled by evidence: as in "If I have sex before marriage will I go to hell?"

        Faith means believing in something you don't know to be true for certain. It doesn't deal with anything in particular.

          That's a type of agnosticism. Yes, some people think that way.

          However, most religious people do not claim to be agnostic like that. That their faith in God is so wishy-washy.

                Faith is confidence or trust in a person, thing, deity, or in the doctrines or teachings of a religion or view.

                You see, it can apply to everything!
