Is it normal to close your eyes when its dark and you cant see anyway

if its night time and I'm walking threw the house and i cant see anything i automatically shut my eyes, anyone else do this?

    Haha! But why do you do this? You must open your eyes when it is dark.

    I close my eyes in my apartment if its really dark in there but only cuz i can visualize everything better that way. Helps me make my way to my lamp

    I guess that would help you to keep from stabbing yourself in the eye if you walk into it.

      But if you did impale your eye, then your eyelid would be pinned to it. If you looked around at all you'd end up tearing something for sure.

    I do it for a few seconds that way my eyes adjust faster when I do open them. But it is fun to talk around pretending to be blind at night in the dark.
