I do not blame you one bit for choosing work. I would do the same. It sounds like your relationship is at a stand still. I think you should seriously talk to her about your feelings.
The thing is, you guys aren't married. If you were married to her or had a family of some kind and you were choosing work over her, there might be an issue. But where it stands right now she sounds like a greedy girlfriend whose not making life easier for you. So while girlfriends can come and go, a career that makes you money and helps you feel confident will stay and make life even easier for the woman you eventually want to be with forever. Its all a matter of priorities, and if I were you I wouldn't make this bitch a top priority.
