Is it normal to chew the red waxy thing that comes with cheese?

  • You mean the rind? I bought myself some Brie last week and I made the mistake of eating the waxy rind. I hadn't eaten salty cheese in such a long time that I completely forgot about the rind. I ate it and I couldn't help but wonder why this "crust" tasted so bland and strange compared to the rest of the cheese. I don't know if it's healthy or normal but I doubt that it'll kill you.
