Is it normal to check out/admire/envy other girls?

When I was younger, my mom came out as a lesbian and it sparked obsessive thoughts about the possibility of being gay...
They went away for a little while, but now they're back and I've been over analyzing every bit of attention I've paid girls in the past. For example;
In the third grade, I can remember comparing my body to other girls, looking at their builds, body types, etc... and in the fourth grade, I remember a group of girls that I thought were gods gift to the world. If one of them was absent for some reason, I noticed.
In the sixth grade, there was a girl with huuuge boobs that all the guys liked that I used to stare at like a creep...
and throughout high school and now, I look at pictures of female celebrities, models, etc and there are some I think are much sexier than others. Jessica Alba, Mila Kunis, and Megan Fox are my favorites. There are just so many flawless women!
Now, normally, I would just chalk this up to admiration but since my OCD is acting up...

MY QUESTION (finally! sorry for the novel) is "Am I a lesbian, or is it normal?"

    Hahaha it's completely normal. Humans are social animals, how do you think our self esteem develops? Through our comparison with other people. We look at their flaws, weaknesses, strings and beauty and compare it with ours just to see if we are better just so we can developed a much more stronger self esteem and self worth. This is humans for you. A typical example would be when you compare yourself with your boyfriends ex gf. You check her out to see if you are prettier, smarter etc. These are all inbuilt drives to make us feel better ourselves.

    I would not worry in the slightest!

    It may be that your mom coming out was a huge shock for you, and made you more sensitive/conscious of homosexuality and same-sex attraction. That could certainly explain your need to "check ou" other girls to "test" whether you are/are not a lesbian yourself.
    Also, Your almost-obsession for same-sex attraction could be a mental issue. I read an article a few times ago about "homosexual OCD" - it was about some people obsessing about being gay, like other people have compulsional behaviours. Try to read about this disease.

    I guess it's normal.. When I get back to my hometown I'm gunna go to strip clubs so I can stare at female bodies. I'm also a female. I just want to see what curves look like in real life and not photoshopped, since it's kind of awkward staring at people in change rooms or beaches. I also like looking at females in magazines and compare myself to them, which usually makes me sad because they're so gorgeous and I turned out looking like a turd.
