I've known perfectly happy couples married for 25+ years who occasionally wander outside their vows. Their partners never find out and life goes on. I'm not advocating it, but it's not as rare as people want to think it is. The rules are: you never confess, you never have a partner who wants more than an affair, and you never have unprotected sex. Unwilling to abide by those rules and you're a selfish sob and should just have the courage to nut up and get a divorce. If your wife isn't number one, leave.
