Is it normal to chase ur crush even if u know that he doesn't like u?

Back in elementary school I had a crush crush on this girl Sophia sabinash, I always enjoyed looking at her talking to her and everything, it was completely one sided though I was even dumb enough to buy her gifts even, I guess to be honest I never actually asked her out for I was to much of a coward, still am thankfully my boyfriend is not one! But yea it took me a like 3-4 years and a move to get over her. Then her and her friends randomly messaged me asking about a gift I got her and I was stupid back then lashed out and got a angry and yea they never got there awnser and I feel like a total idiot about it. Life has so many funny stupid regrets like that. I'm glad I'm not the person anymore haven't been for a long time now. So I guess my point is that yes it's ok to crush on someone not interested but if you are able try to move on you will be happier once you have someone who wants you back
