Is it normal to change your life ambition every day?

Hello,

So, i keep changing what i want to do with my life, in terms of my ambition. One day, i want to write a book, and be an author, another, i want to be a musician. It will be literally, a new thing every day for me. This is by no means fun for me, and causes me distress, as, i normally can't just settle down to one thing. It's annoying more than anything. I'm 18, and i don't know if i'm expecting too much of myself? I don't know. Anyway, my mum has no belief in me, no one really has the belief that i can do well, so i don't know if i ever will. I just want to know if changing your mind all the time is normal for a career, or your ambitions.

Thanks very much,

Josh
