I hate when people say "I don't care what people think about me." Cool...but if you REALLY didn't care then you wouldn't have to announce it.
Any everybody cares. Everybody wants friends and everybody eventually wants to settle down in a committed relationship. In order to have friends, you have to make people like you first.
