Just remember that it's a security system operating on quantified levels of risk that have been predetermined by correlational methods. Subjective judgements by pissed off personnel are not a reliable predictor of actual terrorism. Profiling etc works better. The TSA knows this. If you hit all the switches that correlate with a real terrorist - that's when you get disappeared.
From personal experience, I can tell you that most of the "quantified levels of risk that have been predetermined by correlational method" do not work and are of little use other than to placate the citizenry.
It has been proven time and time again that the TSA has more holes than a colander, and that they again, are of little use, other than to placate the citizenry.
