Is it normal to break up your gf in hopes to focus more in school

Wish I had the courage to break up with my gf when I was in college probably would of gotten better grades. I would advice anyone to keep intimate relationships out of your life until you finish school. Cause being in relationships while trying to juggle school is super hard and is a disservice to yourself. Everything you think you are missing will be there after school ends
