I once got dumpted for the same reason. I was working in another country and met this guy who is from Congo. He was at the university working towards his masters degree. I would be partying and he would remain in his room studying. All he did was studying and he was so smart. One morning we broke up and he told me that anyway he was there to study and not to look for love. I knew from the start that he was more focused on his studies than on relationship.
Months later, I was back home then, he called me and proposed. I said yes but we never got married. That's sort of funny though.
