Is it normal to blush, turn red and sweat this much?

As far back as I can remember, whenever I am talking to more than one person (strangers) I turn red and begin to sweat. I don't feel anxious when I start talking. But after about a minute or two, I feel my face begin to burn up and a little sweat starts forming on my forehead. I can tell people notice because they tend to do a 'I am not noticing that you're turning red' smile. It happens everywhere, at the grocery store, a nightclub, asking a group of people for directions in a new city- you name it. At my job, I hate doing presentations because I know I am going to turn red and start sweating. This even happens with my coworkers. For the record, I am not scared that pople will think I am not presenting well. I am also not really shy. I recently went through a break up (after 7 years) and have had a pretty easy time getting back in the saddle. It's just this damn turning red thing. I try not to think about it, but after several minute of talking with a group of people, I'm sweating and beet red!

Is It Normal?

  • Hey mate, we're in the same boat! Relax!
    Do you have low self-confidence / self-esteem? Because I do. And I hate attention. Like you, I can't stand multiple people staring at me. I sit in the back corner of my class and once, my whole class agreed to do something to be. At the count of 3, the WHOLE CLASS stared at me. Holy shit, I got a shock of my life and I turned as red as a beetroot! It's normal, my mum's like that too.

    • lol if you sat closer to the front you wouldn't be able to see just how many people there are and they wouldn't be able to pull that off. But too much in the middle probably wouldn't be good, especially if you're in the center of the room. D;
