Is it normal to believe what the news says?

Is it normal to believe what the news says? They seem to character assassinate and tell me what to think instead of just reporting news. It makes me wonder if I should believe them. It’s hard to believe people who appear to have a blatant agenda. Plus all the vocabulary is really passionate. Why don’t they just report the news LOL

Well they don’t report anything good the president ever does, they skip over any intergovernmental cooperation, they basically demoralize us and they NEVER give context for anything. It’s just black and white / good and bad / no nuance no real-to-life complexity. And Fox News has its own set of problems as well. All they do now is report on how bad other news is.

Depending on what side you follow they have completely opposing accounts of the same story. A great way to stop disagreements from ever being settled is to make sure neither group actually knows what the other group's actual agrument is.

That last part is the key. So many people are completely oblivious to what the other side actually thinks, because all they hear are the strawman arguments on their favorite TV or radio shows. All these shows care about is creating a debate, because that brings in ratings, which brings in money.

It’s funny, because both sides mirror each other in so many ways. Like the issue of wearing masks in public. “I refuse to live in fear” say the people afraid of a little piece of fabric, “don’t be a sheep” say the people who refuse to wear a mask because other people convinced them it was un-American to wear one, “Don’t believe everything the news tells you” say the people who believe everything they read on Facebook or hear in church. That pointing Spider-Man meme plays out all day every day, all across the country, and people are completely oblivious to it.

The problem is the news isn't just news. it's bots and fake information online, you can't find amateur recorded footage of any alleged riots on youtube.

They show up, and are deleted. Listen to the mockingbird. CIA controls all media and censors information. News is all propaganda and strawman arguments. How helpful are they when it snows and they take over every channel to talk about having to shove driveways for 3 hours? It's a fake show that keeps the population in fear.

Right now they're trying to start a race war because they don't want police authority questioned. Because police are authority. Make it so people don't want a better life.

Just look up "operation mockingbird" and you can see that all news media is controlled by the CIA. Movies, TV shows, they all go along with it.

From the same people that lost all the moon landing footage but never lost a single episode of I love lucy. Because no master tapes are stored on magnetic tape. Oh well..

Exactly. It’s all an emotional manipulation narrative and a brainwash. They should report facts and as many perspectives as possible without bias and opinion.

    • This post isn’t even about trump. The news has been like this for a long time. And it works on both sides.

I’m not in love with trump, but Trump called out the deep state. The deep state has been hard at work taking money and Selling fake narratives likely before you were born. Anyway, “character assassinations” as the OP says are rampant on both the right and the left. If you study communication and psychology you’ll find this is basically the most ineffective way to learn or teach anything. Trump also spouts out character assassinations, They all do it. But at least trump sees through the BS, he just doesn’t have a great bed side manner. By the way, Have you not read spy gate?! Anyhow.... no need to be narcissistic for trump on his behalf and assume everything is about him. Weird how they call him a narcissist but they also make EVERYTHING about him 🤣 is he a narc or a scapegoat? Maybe just a pot stir that makes everyone else feel
      Morally superior.

Trump is also a TV actor who plays a character. They wouldn't let anyone who wasn't in the club play the role of president. He's a figurehead.

Yeah I’ve thought about that too. That they are all props. But he seems to shake things up more than any other prop has before... I mean Biden gets elected it’s an empty vessel for sure. Why would they prop up such a controversial figure like Trump unless they wanted a civil war... sure, they could all be playing for the same bad team. I can’t tell though. No president seems to have that much power anyway.

I dont follow the news or listen to politics, I dont vote and will never endorse a political candidate.

The character of Donald Trump is polarizing, so I predict he'll win the election because he's a figure that keeps people arguing. Everything about politics is to keep people arguing.

The regime will change when the moon toilet is going to be sent to the moon for people to poop there in the domed moon city that nobody would ever want to move to. Becuase presidents who promise space stuff step down before space stuff happens and it gets defnded. Til then theyll just keep using the guy as a WWE announcer for the news networks.

do not believe anything that the news says they just want to tell you a good story and to turn profits.
some of them would make extra money by controlling your thought patterns with Sad or bad news also known as fear mongering and to get you to buy into certain products later.

I was thinking of this today. I was watching an interview of a serial killer today named richard ramirez I would have preferred a 'respectful' interview. Not that they have to kiss his ass but I already know he's bad. I dont need unprofessional gotcha questions to lead me to my conclusion. The conclussion is obvious. Its like the media thinks we are stupid and they are there to make sure we think right.

    • It’s not bad to have an agenda. To validate the agenda, or a bias, is good. I think the news could have a more sensible agenda, though. As in a better public service. I don’t find it very helpful, the news.

Honestly at least in the u.s if its on the news ots probably a lie or greatly exaggerated. Just look at Doug. He got outed as a zoo and the media destroyed his reputation. Said he runs animal farms so on. When in reality he just likes mares a little to much. He couldn't get contracts anymore for work since no one believed him and his qualifications since the media basically put him out as a street thug rather than the highly qualified man that he was.

They got his family killed. The news did. Its disgusting and they do this shit all the time to many people.

You could be accused of being a pedo and they would destroy you. But not a single reporter will show up to talk when your proven innocent. Its disgusting. Its barbaric. I have no respect for people who watch the news outside of weather information.
