I'm an atheist too. I believe that humans are just a highly intelligent (well, at least some of us, lol) species that makes up for it's physical weakness with mental acutity, planning, and speech capabilities. In other words, we aren't here for some "divine" reason. We just exist. That being said, I agree with you. It's what we make it. It may not pre-designed, but we are intelligent beings. Do what you will. I heard about this atheist couple once that when asked if they feel sad that they won't live together in heaven, they responded that if anything it makes them live for the small things and really appreciate the bit of time they have together on this earth. I thought this was a very sweet and healthy way of thinking. Imagine if everyone did this, instead of doing stuff for the "after-life"! I think it would benefit the world greatly. This is a very very normal question.
IIN to believe the Meaning of Life is self-made?
