  • If our consciousness is part of our brain why is that any more mysterious scientifically than the workings of our other organs? Why would it necessarily survive after the brain dies when no other part of the body survives on by itself?

    All the organs do what they evolved to do and our brain is no exception, in fact it's the most flexible organ in the body: read up on neuro-plasticity and The Brain that Changes Itself if you'd like more information.

    Yeah, physics, the brain is part of the body and breaks down back into the earth in some way, just as the rest of the body does - in other words, rearranged
