Is it normal to believe in honor

Like being brave when you're afraid, courage to do what you should/need to do. Having integrity, like an inner light that tells you if you're in the wrong or not and being able to accept it. To give people the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise, to consider trust a bond that weakens quicker than it strengthens, to remember humility often

    Good, yes.

    Normal, probably not.

We need more people who have ethics and believe in honor.

Those are excellent ideals to aspire to.

Throughout history, huge amounts of misery, mayhem, death and destruction have been created by people who were absolutely certain they were doing the right thing and behaving honourably.

It's too early in the morning for me to put my finger on the one word that sums up the personal ethos you describe, but I don't think it's "honour".

    • I do what I can to avoid delusions. What you're referencing is a defense mechanism, people who do evil and either justify it along the lines of a means to an end or totally block it out and pretend like it's fine.

I examine my true feelings and inner thoughts, I know what to look out for. I do catch myself sometimes looking down a stray path, but that only teaches me what to look out for

My overall psyche is much too complex to get in to in this little comment, but ultimately I like to live in the moment earnestly. I feel confident in my morality because I know the evil I can do and I know that I don't want to do it

If you do think of a word, let me know
