All religious faiths are made up, so why shouldn't you create one that makes sense to you?
If what you're thinking of was all that unusual, there wouldn't already be a ten dollar word for it: syncretism.
Just be prepared for some people who belong to a particular religious club to say you can't pick and choose, and you have to be a good little sheep in one flock or another if you don't want to burn in hell for all eternity.
Dude my Grandma's words exactly mane! That last paragraph at least. She almost spoke to my Ma about specialized schooling once I stopped going to church on Sunday dude.
