Is it normal to believe if you want something bad enough you can have it?

Like if you want to live in another country, you believe you can? Let's say you look it up research what's needed and it's a lot of work and people laugh when you tell them you're moving someday but you believe you will more than anything?

With enough work, most things are possible as long as you at least have average health and intelligence. You can immigrate, start a business, go to college, buy a house...You get the drill.

All dreams take money. Money takes work. If you don't have the determination and willpower to make your dream come to fruition it just won't be possible. You have to put in the effort and unfortunately some dreams require a bit more effort than others. It's also a requirement that you be reasonable with yourself. It's unlikely you'll become a professional athlete, actor, or scientist unless you fit the health, charisma, or intelligence to achieve those goals.

When I was a small child, I knew I wanted to immigrate out of country. I didn't know where I wanted to go but I knew I desired to leave. As I grew older my sights narrowed to France. In the last couple of years I've been working to achieve that goal. The pandemic slowed that dream down. (It slowed most people's dreams.)

Regardless, yes, it's normal. Just be reasonable with your expectations.

Just believing it without putting in the work isn't enough. It's like clicking your heels 3 times and BAM! you're not even in fuckin Kansas!

Yes, but as others have said... just wanting something is not enough. You have to be willing to learn and work in order to get it.

The world is far fuller of people who want something and are not willing to learn and work at getting it than there are people who want something and then do what it takes to get it - or at least make a really good effort and at least usually get most of the way to their goal.

A parked car does not go anywhere, nor can a mentor help you steer it.

To an extent its definitely real. If you say "i cant do it its too hard" you'll never get there like you would if you told yourself daily you're gonna do it and you were born to do it.
