Is it normal to be worried about yourself?

So to make a complicated story short, I am with this amazing guy. He is so sweet and lovable, has a big heart and would do anything for me. I love and care for him tremendously. We see each other quite frequently.

The only problem is that soon I will be leaving for med school. The strange part is that I'm not worried about him, I'm worried about myself. I find myself wondering if he really is the best one for me. What if there is someone else out there?

Because as well as we get along, I sometimes find myself wishing b

I think you would be better off single. For now, at least. Try to find out what you really want in a relationship. You don't get much time to think about that kind of stuff while you're in one.

It sounds like you don't see yourself being with him forever, and I'm assuming that you are generally young and still have a long life to live. It seems like you have already lost quite a bit of interest in him. You can confront him with the issue of your conversations lacking intellectual interest, try to work that issue out and see how things go. If not, you should move on from him so you don't end up hurting him while you are away.
What to do is your decision though, this is just my advice/opinion on it.

also, when you date people you will not always have the same interests, try to be open to his and let him know about yours. Ask him questions about his interest and see if he will do the same for you. Knowing someone with the exact same interests as yourself can also become boring, it'd be like dating yourself, so keep all of this in mind as well. Hope this helps.

*we had the same interests. We can't have profound and engaging conversations like I can with some of my other friends. We talk about things yes, but they're not...interesting.

And what if, when I'm in school I meet someone who is able to provide the intellectually stimulating conversation I lack with him?

I love him so much, and would hate to hurt him. As well, what if there is no one else that is as committed and caring as he is?

*sorry guys, the iPhone submitted accidentally
