Food shouldn't be segregated. It's universal. However, Fried Chicken is a food that has become synonymous as being "black people food". Part of it is culture and the other part is marketing. Fried Chicken commercials used to show people of other races. Now all they show is black people. I'll admit that I used to fear eating/making fried chicken because, of it's associations (and I'm part black!). I didn't want anyone to know! It's sad and I'm sorry that you're being treated this way.
IIN to be white and like Church's Chicken?

Huh? You didn't want anyone to know that you're partly black?

It's really quite shocking to me that you feel that way.

It would be less shocking if you lived through it.

Ok, I know it's different in America. I am mixed race but grew up in England.
