Is it normal to be unnerved by the stones in peaches?

I've been eating peaches recently and I love them but I feel unnerved and fascinated by the stones inside them. They look so strange, abnormal and are such a contrast to the fuzzy cute appearence of a peach!
Is this normal? It just looks so intimidating and it's also sharp, I've accidentally cut myself on it a few times!

    Yes... Those grooves are somewhat unpleasant to look at.
