    You say that you consider yourselves "best friends who are dating" and you're not comfortable being alone with him, so maybe you just aren't romantically attracted to him. Maybe you're better off as friends?

      I've considered that, we split up before because of it but I realized that I really do like him romantically and as a best friend. *shrug*
