  • Actually, a lot women who take selfies probably feel insecure, as though they are the center of nobody's attention. It is indeed saying 'look at me', usually because they think nobody is. They're doing it to gain confidence, not to gloat confidence.

    • Thats an interesting point. Thanks for your comment.
I suppose ive always taken issue with attention seeking and this seems to be one of the highest forms of it. I wish that these men and women could be more humble about their looks instead of fishing for compliments online. I think real beauty is in the confidence and self assuredness, even the humility of people who dont need validation for their looks. Sure everyone loves a compliment, but let it happen naturally instead of seeking it out.

      • I can see how full of themselves someone looks when they're seeking attention. Unfortunately, they don't realize they come off this way. But these are the type of people we should care for. My Grandmother taught me to pray for the *sshole, not the victim. The victim will be taken care of, it's the *sshole who will end up desperate for forgiveness. Though it's scenario is different, the sentiment is the same. The attention whore needs more love than the humble, modest individual. They have plenty of love.
