I wouldn't find it that strange for a female to wear men's clothing. If it was a guy who wore women's clothing, I would find it very strange, I don't know why. I just inexplicably see it that way.
But what if you didn't know it was a "female wearing men's clothing"? I would like to just be seen as a guy (passing completely). It would be my greatest fear to do this just to end up looking like a "female wearing men's clothes", and I would not leave the house that way until I could get it right (if at all).
If I didn't know, then I wouldn't know. But let's say that person who I thought was a dude was actually a girl, and I found out. I would be shocked, because I was positive that's a guy. That's pretty much everyone's reaction, however they feel about being trans.
