fix·a·tion:
an obsessive interest in or feeling about someone or something.
"his fixation on the details of other people's erotic lives"
---
Where did you get the impression this is anything of an "obsessive interest"? You on the other hand seem to have a "fixation" with making assumptions...
So your argument is that you have an interest, but it isn't an obsessive one? Being an apathetic crossdresser isn't any better than being an enthusiastic one.
I worry out of concern for you. Skydiving is a safer hobby than transgender-ing, given the ridiculously high suicide rate. Embrace your masculinity, don't run from it. If you're a failure, then realize that you can't fool yourself otherwise. Take steps to improve.
And one more thing: stop watching so much porn. Young men rewire pleasure into = being a woman when they watch it, as 99% of the time it's the woman shown moaning (acting) and so forth.
IIN to be trans out of boredom?

I assume you're a young man. Now is the most important stage of your life to find your hobbies, what you're naturally gifted at and also enjoy.
Crossdressing is a fetish, not a hobby.

Why would another persons hobby bother you so much? Did you have a bad experience with crossdressing or something?
