Is it normal to be tired all the time

I'm always tired sometimes I get 8-9 hours of sleep and still wake up extra tired like I didn't get a lot of sleep. Some days I get 10-12 hours of sleep and I still wake up really tired like I didn't get much sleep is thia normal

Is It Normal?

  • Ask your doctor for a blood test. It could be as simple as a wonky thyroid.

  • I am the exact same way, and it is definitely a symptom of depression, but it can be easily prevented by eating the right kinds of foods and getting lots of Vitamin D (AKA Sunlight :) ) And exercising regularly. Your body is trying to tell you that it doesn't have enough natural energy to fuel you anymore, and whether that is because of a psychotic diagnosis or a physical one, you should at least start taking the proper precautions and if those don't help, consider seeing your physician. Don't let it get any worse -- it can eat your life away, if it gets out of hand.

  • i don't think that's normal but i feel it too :( it's like i have so much things i have to do but i don't have any energy to do it and then i just fall asleep instead

  • It probably has to do with what your eating, I exercise 2-3hours a day and only get 6-7 hours of sleep and am full of energy. I get 5-6 servings of fruit a day, 4-5 of vegetables, and take a multivitamin. So stop eating so much crap.

  • I'm saddened to see 70% saying it's normal. It's not healthy, whether it's normal or not. The multivitamin is an excellent first step, try exercise and eating healthier. In general, an overall active, healthy lifestyle will give you more energy long-term even though it's hard to start when you feel tired. Americans in general complain or being tired and sluggish and I think a huge part of it is our unhealthy diets and sedentary lifestyles.
