So you may not be 'book-smart' but you seem to have a higher emotional intelligence than most. That's not a bad thing at all. You are most certainly not any sort of mentally challenged. Maybe you just have a learning disability is all. You sound fairly young, you could go get a diagnosis from a psychiatrist.
But please remember you're not stupid. And having a high emotional intelligence is something to be proud of and is just as important as being 'super smart'. You can do something most of us can't do well at all. You can describe with accuracy how you feel and you understand it.
