Is it normal to be this close to my teacher?
So I have been close with a teacher of mine since freshman year but we have definitely gotten closer. He used to be like a father figure to me and my classmates often refer to him as my dad. I go to a small school and we’re very similar so over the past four years it has spread outside my grade. But now he’s more like a friend to me. We tell eachother about our life problems, drama, insecurities, and anything that comes to mind. We can talk to eachother all day if given the opportunity and I value having him in my life. My classmates have begun to give me a hard time for being around him so much. Many of them have very vocally changed their opinion of our relationship from dad and daughter to daddy and daughter. So basically, is it normal to be close with my teacher, and is it okay to pursue this friendship after graduation?
