Look I not going to say if it normal or not. But my experance goes like this I am 32 years old I haven't till lately (my grandmas funeral) said two words to my father or stepmum in 11 years and I only did to keep the peace. Now I'm not saying it for everyone but it makes my life go well. Talk to your dad before making any choices like that and see what he says first. I did I did not make my choice without thinking first it is hard to go though life without parents (my mum past away when I was thirteen) so be very careful on what you choose to do and say.life may not be perfect but he's your only dad.
