I honestly believe my step mother hates me and my family. When she moved in i became a live in baby sitter to her two sons, one was 6 the other 1. she would force me to clean the whole house as she did nothing. she had no job, wouldnt clean or cook. she would take things out of my room and give them to her sons. and started count downs to me leaving for summer camp or college(later in life). one time at a wedding she wouldnt even let my father talk to me, she grabed him and said "im your date not her". when i was 17 i left home to go to summer camp for 6 weeks and she packed up everything i owned, making it very clear she did not want me there any more. she also would not allow my father to go to his sister's 50th birthday party(she is dying of breast cancer) there is much more but those are the main ones. I just dont get why she has so much hate. If you have a step mom or you are a step mom please fill me in on wth is going on.

on a side note...
i dont do drugs, dont smoke, have never been in troble with the law, never got in troble at school and i never used to fight with my parents.... i also have not lived at home in 3 almost 4 years so why is she like this :S

    Wow! That woman sounds like a very rude and miserable person. But I'm with what candle8 said. Speak with your father about this. Tell him exactly how you feel. She could have some kind of mental problem... the way she seems jealous of you. You know, "im your date not her". What a bunch of shit. That woman needs help. It almost sounds like she was deliberately trying to separate you and your father. Thats messed up.

    You really need to talk to your dad. My husbands step mother was married to his dad for decades. They both died this past April. For your sake you better talk to your dad. My step mom in law mentally castrated my husbands father. The she-wolf never liked us. And their will proved it. Everything went to her niece. No blood relation to my father in law. She put up such a cloud of lies and deceit. Make it right with your dad right now. I mean it. Or you will regret it for the rest of your life.

    because she is a bitch. an insecure bitch at that and your father should stop being such a nancyboy and start laying teh LAW and make her respect him and his decisions and not allow her to control him like that!

    This is a bad situation. Same thing but with my stepfather. He is a jerk, hates me and ruined our family. The real question is how could my mom (or in your case your dad) let this go on??? You father should have dumped her a long time ago. It always amazes me how people never seem to put their children first when they really should.

    Look I not going to say if it normal or not. But my experance goes like this I am 32 years old I haven't till lately (my grandmas funeral) said two words to my father or stepmum in 11 years and I only did to keep the peace. Now I'm not saying it for everyone but it makes my life go well. Talk to your dad before making any choices like that and see what he says first. I did I did not make my choice without thinking first it is hard to go though life without parents (my mum past away when I was thirteen) so be very careful on what you choose to do and say.life may not be perfect but he's your only dad.

    just be nice to your dad and as tori said talk to him and make peace. pretend steppie is not in the picture ask dad out on his own and dont bring her up. he will remember you as loving to him thats all that matters

    The only way out of this is talking to your father about it. Maybe he's trying to close his eyes about what's happening, but hearing it from you, in a direct and firm way will wake him up. You are his child after all...

    Or maybe he's just one of those people who need to be manipulated? ... He's forgetting that you're becoming a victim in this.
