  • There's nothing wrong with being proud of your ethnicity. Sadly, a lot of people will misunderstand and assume that you are some type of racist. This world is such an unfair place.

    • Actually I haven't seen a single comment as of yet calling the OP a racist. I think a lot of the people on here probably understand that he's just proud of his identity and is aware of the troubles that colored people still face in this world. Plus, a lot of people are saying that it's normal so I would like to believe that that's because they understand what he means.

      • That's good. I guess times are changing or, maybe it is just like this on here?

      • He's thankful, not proud. Big difference. In my opinion, being thankful is normal(ish), but being proud would've been wrong.

        • I don't know if it would be wrong to say you're proud. Cause I mean in the reverse scenario, a person saying that they're proud to be black, people wouldn't see that as racist but if a white person said it then how is that different. It would be racist if he said that he was proud to be white because all other races suck. But yeah I guess thankful and proud are two different things.

          • I don't know, man. In my opinion, it is not racist to be proud of your race. It's just plain, well, illogical. I'd even say, stupid. Regardless of the race.

            • Alright. I'm not really arguing if it's illogical, I was just saying that it's not necessarily racist.
